The Number One White Wine in the World!

Well…here it is!

The most widely planted white grape and one of the most requested wines when dining. This white grape wine is fantastic because it adapts well in different climates around the world. Still wondering…. It is Chardonnay!

Chardonnay is the chameleon of wines it adapts to its climate. If grown in a warmer climate you may get a tropical tasting note of mangos and pineapple while more in a cooler climate you may taste orchard fruits such as peaches and apricots. The grape originated from a small village of “Chardonnay” in France, however as of today it has one of its biggest locations in Central Coast, CA.

This past weekend we decided to do at home Friday night seafood boil which included:

pan of crab legs

Shrimp, lobster, with added turkey sausage, potatoes and corn and added King & Snow Crab legs on the side, quite yummy! We paired our dinner with a local winery in Cleveland Cedar-Lee Chardonnay by CLE Urban Winery located in Cleveland Heights, OH. This unoaked Chardonnay is light and refreshing and gives you subtle hints of crisp apple and tasty peach. It matches very well with the crab legs and brings out its rich character and buttery sweet taste. Next time you have some delicious seafood, try it with a glass of Chardonnay….Cheers!
