โ€œThe best wedding favors are those that appeal to the taste buds ! No one wants something that collects dust added to their house, but they DO appreciate a treat for the ride home or the next day whether it be an extra dessert, greasy fast food or something with a shelf life like honey, oil, or teas. The way to your guests heart is always through their stomach!โ€ โ€“ Danielle Aspromatis, owner, dโ€™Luxe Events

โ€œAs a planner, I always recommend that favors be something that is edible or that can fit in a small purse so that your guests can get home with it. Some of our favorites include koozies (no one likes cold hands!), local chocolates or our favorite from this year, mini bottles of homemade limoncello! Yes please!โ€ โ€“ Jamie Bohlin, Cape Cod Celebrations

โ€œWe love when our couples leave handwritten notes at their guestsโ€™ place setting. Itโ€™s meaningful and they will always remember it. Another big hit is making the escort card-board all photos of the couple and that specific guest. They can take it home with them and hang it in their home. Itโ€™s a lovely favor and something they will keep and cherish!โ€ โ€“ Erica Trombetti, Infinite Events

โ€œIโ€™ve noticed that the favors that are usually a big hit, and not left for my team and I to clean up at the end of the nightโ€ฆfood. Anything that your guests can chow down on while driving home or the next day after the wedding. Custom cookies, Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, popcorn. You can have cute little packaging with them that ties along with the rest of your design!โ€ โ€“ Krisy Thomas, Southern Sparkle

โ€œFor more intimate events, a personal letter to each guest from the bride and groom. It certainly does not have to be more than a few lines, but really shows the guest that you are appreciative of their presence. For larger events, a sweet treat or bite, that is a favorite of the couple, is the perfect send off. If it does not fit in a carry-on or is consumable, guests will likely leave it behind.โ€ โ€“ Melissa Tuvey, I Doโ€ฆWeddings & Events

โ€œWe love when couples infuse their personal tastes into the wedding and the favor creation is no exception! We think overall, guests love receiving decadent food or cooking additions. Desserts always work well, in to-go boxes guests can compile themselves, or pre-packaged goodies. Infused olive oils or vinegars, custom spice mixes always are a great hit and are actually something special guests can use for months to come! Incorporating something personalized to combine names with an object guests can take home such as first names in calligraphy on river rocks at each place setting are a beautiful addition!โ€ โ€“ Valarie Falvey, Kirkbrides

โ€œI see that most favors are tossed in the trash, but this sweet home preserve for a brunch wedding was a hit! Each guest had their own personal jar of the homemade preserve at their seat and many opened their jar and enjoyed during brunch!โ€ โ€“ Covesa Kelly Events
