There’s something about a fall wedding that just hits different. The crisp air, the warm colors, the cozy-but-elevated vibes. It’s truly a dream season to say “I do.” Whether you’re planning your own wedding or assisting a friend, here are a few of our favorite trends making this fall wedding season one to remember.
Moody Jewel Tones
This year, rich, moody color palettes are taking center stage. Think emerald, garnet, sapphire and touches of gold for that extra bit of luxe. We are absolutely obsessed with the green and gold combo right now. It's elegant, timeless and gives any space a high-end feel. Whether you use it in your linens, florals or stationery, this pairing creates an effortlessly regal vibe.

Elevated Candlelight + Layered Lighting
We’re talking lanterns, taper candles, twinkle lights, the works. Lighting completely transforms your space and sets the tone for the evening. Pro Tip - if you’re renting linens, be sure your candles are properly enclosed. Dripped wax equals damaged linens and trust us, replacement charges cost way more than the linen rental itself. Protect your investment and your aesthetic.
Velvet Details
Velvet is back and it’s having a moment. From bridesmaid dresses to table runners to plush lounge seating, a touch of velvet instantly elevates your wedding design. We’ve used full velvet linens for one of our past weddings at Landerhaven and it was stunning. The texture, the depth, the richness brought everything together beautifully.
Seasonal Signature Cocktails
A fall inspired cocktail is always top tier. Apple cider spritzes, spiced pear martinis…yes, please! But don’t forget the glassware. The right glass can make your cocktail moment photo-ready. Most venues don’t have specialty glassware on hand, so consider bringing it in. We’ve done this for recent parties and it made such a difference. Think coupe glasses for champagne, martini glasses for cosmos and just that little extra something to match your signature drink.

Interactive Food Stations
Your guests will love this trend. From gourmet s’mores bars to cider tasting stations or even a cozy charcuterie grazing table, these setups bring everyone together and create a memorable experience. It’s a fun way to combine food, decor and conversation all in one spot.
Retro-Inspired Photography Edits
There’s something magical about those slightly nostalgic, film-style edits. The soft tones, the subtle grain, the storytelling. It’s giving vintage romance in the best way. We’d love to see more couples and photographers leaning into this style this season. It adds a layer of personality and timelessness that perfectly complements fall weddings.
Fall weddings are all about creating an atmosphere that is warm, inviting and full of personality. Whether you’re drawn to moody jewel tones or dreaming of candlelit dinners and spiced pear martinis, there’s no wrong way to make your fall celebration special.
