OUR LOVE STORY
Some love stories start with fireworks.
Ours began with a Sunday smile.
Week after week, Mark and Josie would pass each other at church just a quiet spark, a look that lingered a second too long, as if heaven itself was whispering, “Pay attention.”
That spark grew when Robert, Josie’s son, enrolled at Mark’s Genesis School of the Creative Arts. Somehow, between directing choirs, managing students, and juggling a thousand responsibilities, Dr. Mark “miraculously” rearranged his schedule to take Robert on as his personal student. (Some might call it commitment others might call it strategy!)
While Robert learned music, Josie waited with Pastor never idle, always purposeful passing out her freshly printed real estate business cards like confetti. Mark, intrigued (and maybe slightly impressed by her hustle), leaned in with curiosity:
“What’s that you’re passing out?”
With a smile, Josie replied, “I’m a realtor.”
“Well, that’s perfect,” Mark grinned. “I’m looking to buy some houses. Think you can help me?”
Appointments were made. That Saturday, they spent ten unforgettable hours together touring houses, laughing like old friends, and talking as if they’d known each other forever. And while Josie thought she was
showing Mark homes, the truth was Mark was just looking for reasons to keep seeing her. They began viewing what seemed like hundreds of houses. But Mark had a method behind the madness. He used every second they were together to get to know her better.
What began as friendship blossomed into partnership. They discovered countless passions in common: real estate, finance, fishing, ministry, music, education, movies, and yes even late-night stock trading sessions over FaceTime. Some nights it was real estate deals, other nights it was analyzing charts but every night, it was life, together.
When Mark launched a church, Josie stood faithfully by his side praying, serving, and supporting his vision with all her heart. Their journey hasn’t been without challenges, but through it all, they’ve discovered something undeniable: when apart, their souls ache; when together, their souls rest.
And now, hand in hand, they know beyond a doubt that it was God’s hand that brought them together. This isn’t just love it’s covenant. This isn’t just a moment it’s a lifetime.
So here begins their next chapter.
