the proposal
I said YES!

We went to DC for the weekend and we decided that we we wanted to see the Lincoln Memorial. As we were walking back down the steps and Zion scared me out of no where saying “look bae look, you see that". I couldn’t see anything because it was late and dark but I just said “yeah bae I see it what do we do?” He said “turn around” and he was on one knee. Even though we already talked about getting married and he had purposed before without a ring it was still very unexpected and very special to me.
OUR STORY
I knew Zion was the one when I was in the hospital. Back story I was diagnosed with epilepsy and so at the time I was living by myself but I felt like I was going to have a seizure. Even though he was supposed to drive back to Cleveland from Columbus where I was living at the time, he took me to the hospital he stayed with me. I was in the waiting room for a couple hours and I was having back to back seizures and he was taking care of me. I had one seizure and during it, I threw up and I would have choked and probably died due to the medical staff not tending to me. Zion stepped in and turned me on my side which saved my life. He missed almost a week of work to stay with me until I was okay to be by myself. That’s when I knew God didn’t just send me a good man but He sent my husband. I also prayed about it and God confirmed it.
